How lucky you are to expect the arrival of a baby soon! As exciting as the thought of bringing your bundle of joy home is, remember it is essential to take time to prepare for your new journey. This may all seem overwhelming, but take heart: you have nine whole months to get ready for welcoming your new baby. For a little life, a baby requires many equipments, and bed is among the most important things.

A crib or bassinet is an imperative and essential baby item, but do remember the crib bedding. Having your baby sleep on a cold plastic mattress isn’t the best solution for your child. You’ll be changing the crib sheets often in the first few months, sometimes more than once a day, so make it easy on yourself and have plenty of extra sets. You keep your baby’s room ready with minimum two baby bedding sets to welcome the baby because as one is cleaned, the other will serve as stand-by bedding. Bring yourself some cheer and better sleep for baby by choosing bedding in bright colors.

What’s needed to make sure that your baby’s crib is a comfortable and safe place for him/her to sleep? At the very least, the plastic mattress should be covered with cotton crib sheets. Crib linens that are made completely of cotton will not only be durable, but they will be soft on your baby’s skin, as long as you use mild detergent.

Protect little arms and legs from bruises on the crib’s hard wood by investing in bumper pads to surround the crib’s sides. Depending on the season and climate in your area, your baby’s bedroom can be topped off and brought together beautifully with a matching quilt or light blanket. This would be a wonderful addition to the baby bedding. If you are feeling creative, a crib skirt can be a colorful addition. Decorating with a crib skirt can help add color and make your baby’s room more inviting.
